This is number one! The Muskegon Community Foundation Grant is probably the most significant scholarship source that an Oakridge student has available to him or her. Make sure to apply. And be prepared for the interview process. You can get some big money here.

Jade Morin – 2012 Muskegon Community Foundation Scholarship

Jade Morin ($1000) – Sidney and Adelaide Slater Scholarship

Jade is enrolled at Michigan State University for the Fall of 2012.  She plans on pursuing a double major in pre-veterinarian sciences and psychology.  After earning a BA from MSU, she plans to continue her education in East Lansing working towards a degree in Veterinarian Medicine.  Her lifetime goal is to own and operate a veterinarian clinic.

Hunter Koster – 2012 Muskegon Community Foundation Scholarship

Hunter Koster ($1000) – Larry and Jane Wright Scholarship

Hunter plans a career as a medical examiner.  He is enrolled at Muskegon Community College in the Fall of 2012.  After two years at MCC he plans to enroll at Ferris State University to pursue a double major n pre-med and forensics pathology.  After a BA at Ferris, Hunter will pursue a medical degree hopefully at Michigan State University.

Morgan Hunter – 2012 Muskegon Community Foundation Scholarship

Morgan Hunter ($1000) – Charles and Jesse Goodnow Scholarship

Morgan plans to attend  Grand Valley State University in the Fall of 2012.  Her goal is to become a cardiac and vascular sonagrapher.  She wants to achieve good grades in college and be successful in life.  She is grateful to the Muskegon Community Foundation for their support and recommends that future Oakridge High School seniors apply for the scholarship as well.

Jonathon Holter – 2012 Muskegon Community Foundation Scholarship

Jonathon Holter ($1000) – Charles and Jessie Goodnow Scholarship

Jonathon will be attending Muskegon Community College in the Fall of 2012.  He intends to earn a degree in  graphic design and transfer to Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids to graduate with a BA in graphic design.  He hopes to get a job this summer in order to lighten the load of debt that he and his parents may incur in helping to finance his college education.
